Preeclamsia
Hello everyone! I've been on edge the past couple of days because my blood pressure has sky rocketed to a point that really concerns me. I've always had high blood pressure, so with this pregnancy, I knew I'd end up having problems. It was controlled for awhile, but lately it's been creeping back up. The last two months it's been running 140/90's...and the doctors haven't been too concerned with that because they know my history. BUT...the last two days it's been running 165-175 over 102-112...WAY TOO HIGH!! I tried calling the doctor this morning around 7:30 only to get the answering service. I left a message to have someone call me whne they get in, and by 9:30 I still hadn't heard anything so I called back. Finally I talked to a nurse who said she'd pass the message on to the doctor. My doctor is on vacation in Hawaii, so I know they were probably pretty busy, and that it might take an hour or so to hear back from them. Two hours later, still nothing, so I called back to make sure they were still on top of it. FINALLY....4 hours later I get a phone call back and they want me to come in, but they didn't take into consideration that I live over an hour away and they would be closing when I could finally get there. Not a very happy camper at this time!!! I asked if they could get the 24 hour urnine collection jug here in town rather than driving all the way there, and I think them saying "yes" was the smartest thing I heard from them all day. (Can you tell I'm a bit irked right now??) So, they upped my meds to 3 times a day, I have to do a second 24 hour urine collection to see if I have protein spilling into my urine and they want to see me on Wednesday when my doctor gets back from her vacation. This is THURSDAY!!! What can happen from now to then?? I've read so much on Preeclamsia, and I have every symptom they mention, so it really worries me that my little girl my not be getting the blood flow and oxygen she should be getting. Of course, then there's the concern of my health. With my blood pressure being so high, I've read of kidney problems, liver problems, and seizures. Am I just suppose to wait until Wednesday to see if any of that occurs??? SORRY GIRLS.....VERY frustrated right now!!! Any suggestions of words of advice to help cool off??

7 1/2 months pregnant, and feet hurt bad!!! HELP!!
I still have 8 more weeks before my little girl is born, and my feet can no longer stand the pain. My arch in my right foot feels like it's inverted and bruised! If your feet became swollen while pregnant, what did you do to make them feel better? Pedicures are just getting way too expensive, and I feel bad asking my husband every night to rub my feet. Next week is the last week of school, so I'll have the summer off....(not planning on teaching summer school this summer). So, I figured sticking them in the pool might help, but I'm dying for suggestions!!

Feeding the Ravenous Beasts

Remember Hungry Hungry Hippos, anyone? If they were looking for a fifth stand-in, Phoebe would be just right for the job...but only if they were serving rice cereal instead of marbles! Ha-ha!
Anybody have any advice on a feeding schedule for a five month old? I'm pretty sure that she would eat until she exploded if I let her, but I am trying to figure out what's the right amount, how many times a day, proper time intervals, etc. Looking forward to your feedback!!
